VENUE 08

Worthing Churches Homeless Projects are part of the Artists Open Houses this year with their Safe Spaces Project. What is your safe space – is it a place? a memory? is it anywhere as long as you are with a particular person? We have asked people who have experienced homelessness and people who have never experienced homelessness to describe their safe space and then local artists have created a piece of artwork based on this! The aim of this exhibition is to get our community thinking about homelessness and challenge the stereotypes attributed to people who struggle with it.

Colonnade House is a new creative hub, providing studio spaces to rent and gallery space to hire in the heart of Worthing. Established through a partnership between Worthing Borough Council and Adur & Worthing Trust with funding from the Coastal Communities Fund, we aim to be a hub for people working across the creative industries through our workspaces, exhibitions and events.
